Life with Boys...and crayons!

This is the 3rd time since January that I have washed crayons in the washer and subsequently dried them! The first time, it was the GREEN crayon. The inside of my dryer is permantently the same color GREEN! Most of the clothes had to get thrown away, because it wasn't wax on them -it was DYE IN them! UGH! I told myself "REMEMBER TO CHECK ALL POCKETS" This was probably my 800th reminder--we have washed many rocks, nuts, bolts, nails, loose change, a bug or two, and other odds and ends that seem to catch the eye of a 5 year old in a parking lot!

The 2nd time, it was BLUE! This time, I only found a few streaks of blue color on a few items, Not too big a deal! Never found the wrapper or any trace of the actual crayon!

This 3rd time, I WANT TO SCREAM! I checked pockets-obviously i missed one! But these clothes were Clayton's BRAND NEW school clothes! These shorts in the picture he has worn ONCE! They are full of wax from the RED crayon and the dye is IN the fabric. There is no hope for them!

Between the washer/dryer issues and Cameron having some sort of addiction to EATING crayons, I am almost to the point of BANNING them altogether!

What will I find next time in my washer? I just keep praying snakes, spiders and mice don't make the list; but with Clayton-you just NEVER know!!!

I will be willing to trade you the crayons for the chapstick and lipstick that my two oldest girls leave in their pockets...lol!

I did that not long ago, but with an ink pen that I had missed in one of Alec's pockets. Then I did it with a tube of lip gloss that was in one of mine and there were little greasy looking spots on a lot of our clothes.
