Only the BEST Oatmeal cookies you could want!

Ok, so here is my Oatmeal Cookie Recipe. Typically, oatmeal cookies are not too exciting on flavor-they tend to be bland. However, i found a recipe for Cape Cod Oatmeal cookies and tweeked it to my liking! Now they are super yummy, AND i am pretty sure they are pretty healthful! Try them out-even if you are not a big fan of Oatmeal Cookies, these may change your mind!!

Preheat oven to 350 Degrees.

1+1/2 cup whole wheat flour

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

2 teaspoons cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon salt

**Mix these above ingredients together until well blended**

ADD:

1 egg

1/2 cup melted butter

(be careful not to pour the butter ontop of the egg if it is hot from melting it!)

1 Tablespoon of honey

1/4 cup milk

1+3/4 cups uncooked oatmeal

Optional adds: 1/2 cup raisins, nuts, chocolate chips, dates...whatever you like!

Drop by teaspoon full onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 12 minutes (adjust time for your oven!) Cookies are done when edges are set and lightly browned.

When finished, these cookies store wonderfully! We go through them so fast i keep them on the plate in the microwave. they have never gotten hard! They are very chewey straight from the oven through the last cookie being eaten! These are great to hide in the freezer too!
