Being a Mom brings lots of jobs; we all know that! There are all kinds of jobs...teaching, analyzing, fixing, taxi-ing, comforting, the list could go on for miles of paper! But one of the most ongoing, never-ending, tedious tasks as a mom is cleaning up after little ones. Now that Clayton and Candice are much older, thankfully, there is not much cleaning up after them as they are responsible to clean up after themselves. (and for the most part they do well at it) The younger two on the other hand - WOW! The mess tornado follows them everywhere. Cameron's biggest mess these days is taking MY books off my bookshelf and using them to teach her babies. This in and of itself is not a bad thing per se; however, when my books are strewn about with the toys, they do get somewhat abused and lost at times. Neither of those things is on my "favorites" list. Corbett's biggest messes are EVERYTHING. I am going through clothes and toys and they are packed away in a closet til i am finished...or shall I say they were packed away in the closet. Currently as I type this they are scattered all over their bedroom floor in complete disarray... to be managed shortly after naps! I can live with it. After all, the 2year old stage should only last about a year right?!
Here's the thing...there is something that eats at me constantly when I have to clean it up. I am not going to tell you what it is. I will let you guess. I will post a clue each day until Friday-my birthday! You who feel like playing along and guessing what it is that I really LOATHE cleaning up can post in the comments section and whoever guesses it right will win a prize. If there are more than 1 winners, I will have to randomly draw from the correct responses! I already have the prize in hand, and I am sure you will like it! (hint: there is already a clue int his post!)
School starts in 17 days. Then I will be back to just 2 at home. though i am interviewing with a lady and may be taking a child in a few days a week. I am looking forward to this time with the little ones. There is so much to do with them that has been put off the last few years! First task: finish potty training Corbett!
